Part Twenty - Quit Quo Pro

For some reason i feel the need to talk a bit about the media. It’s really hard to tell wich media outlet is legit these days and wich isn’t. All the legit media seems to do is just copie and past the stories the tabloids start. While i’m writing this down i realize it’s the same media we all hate so much that gives us the information about what happend to Michael on june 25th and how this case is moving.

I won’t go into the details about what the media all did to Michael while he was alive. There is already very much written about that by others and i’m still waiting for people like Diane Dimond and Nancy Grace to eat crow. And Martin Bashir should never be able to make another documentry, for all i care this man should rot in jail for what he did to Michael. So now i’ve got that of my chest i can go on with the things i really want to talk about.

The thing i want to point out is that it doesn’t seem like much has changed when it comes down how the media treats Michael. Sure the media has changed their tone a bit, but that only happend after the TII docu turned out to be a huge succes. I’m happy to see that Michael is finally being recognized for all the good things he did. Right now he’s is getting award after award. And although it makes me proud it also makes me sad at the same time. I cry when i think about how they all ignored him while he was alive, and now that he’s gone some are finally giving him the credits he deserved. The truth is that they all should have done all this while he was still alive.

I don’t understand a lot of things the media does. Just take a look at how they kept pushing the addiction story into our stomacks. And even though it was already known since august 28th that Michael’s death was ruled a homicide they hardly mention anything about it. Hence as soon as i found out i even sent the copies of the death certificate together with a copie of the articles that talked about this homicide to the Dutch newspapers, and they just ignored it. I know i’m not the only fan that did this. Fans all over the World did the same things i did, they all sent that info in late august to their media outlets, and that too got ignored. That is until about januari 10th 2010, than finally the media starts to talk a bit about it. But still they keep pushing the addiction story at the same time.

I know i shouldn’t compair Michael’s Murder to the OJ Simpson case but just look at the difference. The media was all over OJ who was suspected of killing his ex-wife, the media followed him everywhere. In Europe or other parts of the World nobody ever heard about OJ untill the press covered that case big time. And now we look at Michael, a man the whole World knows about one way or another. In Michael’s case we have a doctor as a prime suspect and it looks like the media is totally ignoring this doctor, and try to put the blame all on Michael once again.

We’ve seen and have heard everybody and their mama talk and give interviews. And there seems to be something missing there. I know that the entertainment business cuts and edit stories any way they see it fit to reach there goal. But we must not forget the people that are on talkshows and giving interviews have their own goals too. They all use eachother, big time.

Okay enough about that let’s return to the thing i said that there seems to be something missing while people are being interviewed. I really hope i’m not alone in this one, but so many times i’m watching something and i’m just waiting for some questions to be asked. Take for instance the nurse Lee interview, she has been asked if she went to the authorities and her answer was no. Weren’t you all waiting just like me for the question Why she didn’t go there? Or when you look at the interviews the chef gave, nobody asked her why she didn’t go and ask security if Michael was indeed sleeping late that day? Or when people from the family give interviews, most of them talk about wanting to do an intervention in the past, and yet they don’t bother to ask what kind of intervention they are talking about or when this intervention was suposte to take place.

Look at a show such as Larry King Live where you can sent in your questions for the person who is gonna be on that show. I know for a fact that when LKL was about Michael’s death that many fans sent in questions they would like to see an answer too. But it seems that those questions fans asked weren’t being asked, mostly the interviews were just like random talk, it’s like they talk about hey how was your day and how is the weather at your place.

To be honest i haven’t seen much programs that look a bit more into this case. Sure they give information about how propofol worked but in that same program it was all about addiction again. As far as i have seen not one program bothered to zoom in on the prime suspect in this case, no background information what so ever about CM.

I’m sure that there are desent and honest journalists and writers out there that try to get more information out in the open but fors ome reason these people are ignored. It’s almost like somebody is pulling some strings in medialand to not talk about Michael’s Homicide as a Homicide case and to not aks in depth questions. Of course the media and entertainment business go hand in hand, they need eachother. Maybe that is the reason why i feel somebody is pulling the strings, after all it’s all about “Quit Quo Pro”, in other words you do this for me and i do another thing for you.

  1. É realmente uma mídia só quer audiência e conforme a sua conveniência.
Preferem continuar uma denegrir a imagem de Michael a se empenharem desvendar os mistérios em que Envolvem o seu assassinato.

    I LOVE YOU MORE.

  2. You are right. They all talk about him doctor shopping and never ask any real questions. Nancy Grace did one night say Murray was getting off too light which I was surprised to hear. There was weeks when the case wasn't even mentioned at all. And do you remember the story that sometime he would stay on propofol for 72 hours at a time. Where did that come from. Ridiculous
